Ceara Sea Salts

CEARA™ Sea Salts are pure Atlantic sea salt crystals from the clear water off the coast of Brazil. They are produced through the natural evaporation of sea water. Salt water is captured in shallow ponds and allowed to evaporate by means of the sun and wind. During the process, a salt bed form on the bottom of the pond. The salt is harvested, washed, screened and packaged. The typical salt crystal “crop” takes from one to five years to produce.

In high mineral salt production, the environmental conditions directly influence the salt quality through the quality of its main raw material sea water. The sea water used to make CEARA™ Bath Salt Crystals is especially clean as it is collected from a mangrove area, an ecosystem that removes undesired element from the water. This removal is accomplished through a filtration process carried by indigenous plants and shell fish.

CEARA™ is available in sizes ranging from xsmall (similar to table salt) to large (3 - 4mm). This sea salt has many uses such as salt scrubs, bath salts & potpourri. The various sizes allow you to customize the look and feel of you product.

The crystals are a clean white and there are no additives, such as anti-caking agents, mixed with the crystals. CEARA™ works well with both essential oils and fragrance oils. The smooth surface and hardness of this salt make it very easy to color. Colorant covers evenly and makes it possible to achieve a translucent look.

CEARA™ is also good salt for craft projects. The wide range of crystal sizes work well to achieve just the look you want. Use in shallow decorative bowls to hold votive candles or in vases to hold dried or artificial flowers.

This is an easy salt to work with. It is not as susceptible to moisture from the air as some salts which increase your packaging options. You will have much less trouble with clumping than you would with BOKEK™ or BRETON™.

CEARA™ is a very nice, pure, Atlantic Sea Salt; suitable for both high end spas and weekend crafters. The options are limitless. It’s even edible.
